The Gateway Division will sponsor a training event for beginners to the hobby at the Museum of Transportation on December 16, 2017 from 10 a.m. until noon.
- Learn how to start your child in the hobby of model railroading.
- We will demonstrate how to assemble track, make connections, and run a train.
- Basic scenery techniques and construction of a few basic buildings will also be shown.
- Ways to further enhance this layout will be discussed.
- This layout will be given away to one lucky child in attendance at the end of the class!
- Learn about what to buy, what you don’t need to buy, picking a train set, and easy techniques to start your first model railroad.
This is all you need to start your child in the hobby of model railroading!
