DCC++ and JMRI

Discussion on building a DCC++ system and interfacing it to JMRI for engine control running on a Raspberry Pi. We will cover initial concepts, setup and finally running a complete system. Lastly we will discuss how to control switch machine with an Arduino and servo motors. This is a high level overview and will not delve into the technical details.

N and HO Scale Locomotive Maintenance

A clinic on recommendations concerning periodic maintenance of your locomotives. Glenn will cover maintenance on N scale locomotives and Rich will cover maintenance on HO scale locomotives. They will use their own models as they show typical lubrication points as well as places to clean. Lubrication and cleaning materials will be discussed.
1:15 p.m. Clinic
Building Billboards for the Baden, Vogt and DeSmet Railroad

This clinic will cover acquiring prototypical art work, making decals, building supporting structures, and creating construction fixtures for building scale billboards.
About the 2019 St. Louis Train Show
Our Annual Gateway Division NMRA Model Railroad Train Show and Model Contest will be held November 2, 2019, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in West St. Louis County (Clayton and 141).
Admission: $7 per person, children 12 and under free when accompanied by an adult.
The Gateway Division Train Show features clinics on model railroading, swap tables, model and photo contests, and home train layout tours.
