The next monthly meeting of the Gateway Division will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018 at VFW Post 805 in O’Fallon, Illinois. Illinois Valley Division member Thomas Ose will continue his clinic series on Arduinos and Model Railroading. Arduinos are inexpensive, small computers that have many different applications in model railroading. In this third session on Arduinos we will look at sensors and how they are used for detection and automation. The demo will include a speedometer and also some automation based on train detection. The demos will build on the DCC++ unit introduced in the last session. Our monthly meetings are always open to the public. Refreshments are provided at the meeting. Guests are always welcome.
