St. Louis Central 2001
Model Railroader Magazine Project Railroad
Built in 3 days at the 2001 National Train Show
This 4×8-foot model railroad layout was designed and built by St. Louis area members of the National Model Railroad Association and is inspired by scenes and railroads of the Saint Louis area. It is perfect for the beginning to advanced model railroading enthusiast.
The Missouri Historical Society / History Museum saw this layout on our website and liked it so much they asked us to build a copy of it for their Winter 2002-2003 exhibit, “Our World in Miniature.” We have online over a hundred photos of our “second edition” of this layout and its structures.
There are sixty-eight photos of this HO gauge layout under construction at the National Train Show.
KMOX radio auctioned the entire HO scale train layout, with all proceeds going to Outreach Saint Louis. The railroad auction earned $3,010 for charity.
