The next monthly meeting of the Gateway Division will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021 and will be held online as a virtual Zoom meeting.
Eric Hansmann, from the Cumberland Division of the Southeastern Region, will present “Back Dating Plastic Freight Car Models.” The presentation is focused on HO scale models that represent pre-1930 prototypes. The models are mostly equipped with AB brake components but not all early cars were updated quickly with the new systems. We will review prototype examples from the 1940s and show how to backdate the models.
