Based on the current fears and concerns surrounding coronavirus, the Division’s executive committee has decided to cancel the March 16th meeting.
The next monthly meeting of the Gateway Division will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church in West St. Louis County. Ryan Crawford will give a presentation on Gateway Western: A regional for the 1990s. This presentation will center around the writing of the book titled: Gateway Western – A Regional for the 1990s. Ryan will discuss the downfall of GWWR’s predecessor Chicago, Missouri & Western and how the GWWR became a vital link for Santa Fe and its long-awaited access to E. St. Louis. He will also discuss car movements, schedules, locomotive rosters, operations along with sample photos of each of the various subjects. Our monthly meetings are always open to the public.
