The Kirkwood Cutoff Layout Plan – Gateway NMRA Meeting May 20, 2019

The next monthly meeting of the Gateway Division will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in West St. Louis County. Dave Roeder, MMR will present a clinic covering research, planning and design of the HO scale Kirkwood Cutoff layout. The subject is an 11.4 mile section of the Missouri Pacific railroad running from Kirkwood, Missouri to the Mississippi river at the foot of Iron St. in south St. Louis, Missouri. The presentation includes details about selective compression, grades, operational considerations for model railroads and space requirements. The design includes lower level staging for east and westbound trains. Our monthly meetings are always open to the public. Refreshments are provided at the meeting. Guests are always welcome.
