The next monthly meeting of the Gateway Division will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in West St. Louis County. David Lowell will present a clinic on his methods for applying decals. He’ll provide a brief instructional presentation followed by a hands-on clinic. David will review the steps required to properly prepared a surface, tips and techniques for the application of decals, as well as the tools and supplies required. The Gateway Division will provide unpainted box car shells for a canvas and decals for the hands-on workshop. Members are strongly encouraged to bring their own scissors, X-acto knife (with a fresh sharp blade), tweezers, ruler, sharp pencil, Solvaset, and (optional) magnification visor. If you don’t have these items, don’t worry, we will do our best to group you up for sharing. Those of you who may have a spare scissors, X-acto knife (with a fresh sharp blade), tweezers or ruler, sharp pencil, and Solvaset please bring them along and help a fellow modeler out. Our monthly meetings are always open to the public. Refreshments are provided at the meeting. Guests are always welcome. More information, and driving directions to the meeting, are available on our website.
