The next monthly meeting of the Gateway Division will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in West St. Louis County. Phil Bonzon MMR will take you thru the process of building the three award-winning HO scale steam locomotives that swept the 2012 NMRA National Model Contest. They were awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Places in the “Scratchbuilt Steam Locomotive” category and the “William Lenoir Memorial Award for the Best Scratchbuilt Steam Locomotive.” Phil will explain how he built the locomotives, including the research, construction, painting, weathering, and documentation required for the contest. Phil’s methods can be used to build other projects besides steam locomotives. CDs of his presentation will be available for you to take home, so you will not want to miss this clinic. Our monthly meetings are always open to the public. Refreshments are provided at the meeting. Guests are always welcome.
