The next monthly meeting of the Gateway Division will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in O’Fallon, Illinois. As a continuation of the Gateway NMRA painting and weathering clinic series, Master Model Railroader and consistent model contest award winner Dave Roeder will use a variety of weathering materials and brushes to demonstrate techniques to create fast and realistic weathering with both dry powders and Floquil Polly Scale paint washes. The techniques work best on cars with a flat finish, so shoot some Testors Dullcoat on a freight car or two and bring them to the meeting. You will not want to miss Dave’s entertaining and informative “Weathering Your Freight Cars” clinic. Our monthly meetings are always open to the public. Refreshments are provided at the meeting.
